What does poetry mean to you?
For me, poetry is the most rhythmic and powerful flow of emotions and thoughts that could get stuck in readers' mind and make them feel refreshed instantly.
What inspires your poetry?
I loved rhyming and writing poem since my childhood. A few years ago, I was influenced with the poetry by Najwa Zebian as her poetry was very motivational. Her poetry book "Mind Platter" has inspired me.
Which are most important to you: (1) joy, (2) peace, (3) patience, (4) kindness, (5) self-control, (6) faithfulness, (7) gentleness, (8) love, or (9) goodness? If you can, explain why.
Goodness is most important because those who have goodness in them are naturally kind, gentle, full of love and faithful. These virtues gives us peace, patience and joy. So, goodness is most important that can bless us with all other given adjectives.
What sort of things are you looking forward to improving this year?
English is not my mother tongue as I come from India. This year, I will try to enhance my vocabulary and also to improve my hold on language.
What is one big dream you have?
I am a day dreamer. I have many wishes to fulfill, but I aspire to perform live as a singer front of million people once in my life. I have always dreamt of living a musical life.
EQUALITY
Being Female
Have been termed as a prostitute
For wearing clothes of choice, not for being nude
Have been raped just to satisfy their lust
Have been beaten up for not following their rules
Have been restricted as a punishment of being female
Still facing patriarchy which is telling me my duty
Not getting answers, where is equality?
Being Black
Self proclaimed beauty experts will now select the ugliest color
They will try to make you feel inferior by claiming their color as superior
They will rate your looks, however they are ugliest from the heart
Till when will they decide other's beauty?
Not getting answers, where is equality?
Being LGBTQ
Has been mocked for loving someone from the same gender
Have got hate for my existence by hatemonger
Who gave them right to decide?
What is shame and what is pride?
Criticizing other's choice and talking about liberty
Not getting answers, where is equality?
Not Perfect Size
You are going to be criticized for not having required size
Don't know what is the correct size?
Don't know who are they to decide?
They say neither be fat nor be skinny
Neither be tall nor be tiny
Body shaming others, but still of feeling guilty
Not getting answers, where is equality?
Self Worth
You can never become perfect in some people's mind,
Pay back to those bullies who were never kind
They will find faults wherever they will go
They will criticize whoever they will meet
Don't let them to suppress you confidence and generosity
Realize your self worth and fight for equality
