From a young age I fell in love with words. They comforted me when I needed it most. I got my creative side from my talented parents who passed many talents down to me which I am forever grateful for. Along with writing I love photography, singing, drawing, editing videos and screenwriting. I have two amazing kids who have creative minds as well. I pray I get to dabble in each of my talents someday but for now writing is my passion.
What does poetry mean to you?
Poetry, to me, is my essence. Without words and the power they hold within them, I can't handle my struggles. It has been my outlet since the age of 5. Having the power in words to move someone to tears or change their life in a positive way is a blessing.Â
What inspires your poetry?
Everything inspires my poetry. From my own experiences to experiences of people I know, to just admiring my surroundings and the way God makes the wind rustle the leaves. Anything can get my mind going.
Which are most important to you: (1) joy, (2) peace, (3) patience, (4) kindness, (5) self-control, (6) faithfulness, (7) gentleness, (8) love, or (9) goodness? If you can, explain why.
Well, I can't choose just one because I think to be a poet, or just a well rounded human being, all of these things are necessary to be happy and successful.Â
What sort of things are you looking forward to improving this year?
I am definitely looking forward to improving on making myself publish more. I have several books that I've been waiting to put out there so keep an eye on me please!Â
What is one big dream you have?
My biggest dream has always been to be a multi best selling author and provide well for my kids. With God, my career, my kids and my friends that's all I need.Â
